OK! The Human Desktop is looking for some recruits. The site has just been started, and we have some great stuff coming up in mind. All we seriously care about is that you can write about tech with authority and wit. The position is currently not paid, those who join the team now will reap the profits as the site gets it legs. Forums will be set up soon to make communication more viable.
The review section of the site will contain both hardware and software reviews and the “materials” will be provided.
Here’s what you need to send to apply (seriously, this is all):
Proof of ability in hardware and software.
An ability to lead.
A few words about yourself.

I recently heard of this amazing plugin for Firefox, and I think every wannabe geek should get on this bandwagon. To quote Mozilla:
The overall goals of Ubiquity are to explore how best to:
Empower users to control the web browser with language-based instructions. (With search, users type what they want to find. With Ubiquity, they type what they want to do.)
Enable on-demand, user-generated mashups with existing open Web APIs. (In other words, allowing everyone–not just Web developers–to remix the Web so it fits their needs, no matter what page they are on, or what they are doing.)
Use Trust networks and social constructs to balance security with ease of extensibility.
Extend the browser functionality easily.
If you have no idea what any of that means, watch the video and be amazed.
To kick off the site, we got some funny pictures and comics to get you through the day. If you click an image, you can see the full size and can view them all from the gallery that loads in their full glory.
